The Men of SMBC
If you are a man who attends Smith Memorial, you are a part of the Men’s Ministry. The Men of SMBC are a busy bunch of guys. We have men involved in nearly every ministry here, from coaching Upward Basketball to leading Kids in Awana; from helping to lead worship to being a deacon or elder.
The goal of The Men of SMBC is to encourage the men in our church to:
Keep learning
Keep growing
Keep serving
Keep going
Hebrews 10: 24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
What we do
Tuesday Night Men’s Bible Study
The central hub of Men’s Ministry is our Tuesday Night Men’s Bible Study. Come and feed on the Scriptures as we seek to allow the Word of God to transform our hearts and minds and get equipped for serving.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful to teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Special Events
From time to time we’ll gather for special events. Designed to encourage our men to grow in their faith and their ability to serve; these events are also a great place to invite newcomers.

Precepts Men’s Bible Study
Facilitated by Tom Janaro.
Thursdays at 9am, rm 104
Precepts Bible Study uses the Inductive Method of studying God’s Word, digging deeper into the richness of God’s truth. Lessons are divided into 5 days of personal homework. Group discussion is based upon observations and insights from your personal study. In this Bible Study approach, spending time to know what the Bible says, understanding what it means, and living it out in our daily life results in a life that honors God.
Note: Due to the complex nature of this unique Bible Study method, once the class has begun, new folks have to wait for the next study to begin. Contact Tom Janaro for more information
