Senior Adults – The Fun Bunch
The senior adult activities begin each month with a luncheon held in the Family Life Center. We meet at 12 noon the first Thursday of each month.
During the year we plan trips to places of interest to our group. In the past we have visited Garden Ridge in Richmond, the Craftsmen Show (spring and fall), The Amish Cheese Shop and other sites in Stuarts Draft, VA. We have attended The American Music Jubilee in Selma, NC, several Gaither Concerts, and once a year we plan a trip to the apple orchard in Tyro, VA. We have also visited Walton’s Mountain, Monticello in Charlottesville, the Norfolk Zoo, and the Botanical Gardens in Richmond. Our travels have included trips to the Pennsylvania Amish Country, Ft. Eustis, and concerts at Hampton Coliseum. We end every year’s travels with a Christmas trip to Smithfield, VA plus a stop on the way at McDonald’s Nursery in Hampton. Several times a year we plan a dinner outing at a restaurant here in Williamsburg. This is just a sample of the fun we have together.
